Eriko started playing piano at age 4 and flute when she was 11. She is a graduate of the Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo where she studied flute with Mr. Toshinori Ishihara. She was then awarded the “Nichion Scholarship” and attended Berklee College of Music where she received a degree in Jazz Composition while studying under the direction of Mr. Greg Hopkins. Eriko also studied jazz piano with Donald Brown.  After graduating Berklee, she played in the Boston area with the Sonny Watson Quintet and East West Quartet.  In 2016, after a somewhat extended hiatus, Eriko resumed writing and performing with the jazz trio “TRIchrO” and their first CD ” Gravity” was released in 2018.  Eriko has also been composing classical pieces and her pieces have been performed in Tokyo, Shizuoka and Boston. Her Piano piece “Mysterious Bell” made the shortlist for Noosa ISAM Composition Competition in 2018 and was also recording by pianist Tamara Licheli in 2021. Eriko’s piece for flute and piano, titled “Unexpectdly” was chosen as a finalist for the Kwidzyn Classical Music Award 2020. Her piano trio, ” Multiple views from a window” made the preliminary round for the 2020 Alvarez Chamber Orchestra composition competition. Eriko is member of Phasma-Music Composers’ Club and a few albums were released from Naxos Records.

国立音楽大学フルート科、バークリー音楽学院ジャズ作曲科卒業。 4歳からピアノ、11歳からフルートを始め、国立音大在学中よりジャズピアノを始める。 音大卒業後日音奨学生としてボストンのバークリー音楽学院に入学し、作曲、編曲を学ぶ。 卒業後数年間􏰁、イースト・ウエスト・カルテット、ソニー・ワットソン・カルテットなどでボストン、ニューヨーク、エリアにてジャズピアニストと して演奏活動をする。その後子育て中演奏活動を休止。2016 年ボストンにてジャズトリオ「TRIchrO」を結成し、ボストン、ニューヨークを中心にジャズ・ピアニストとしての演奏活動を再開。201８年TRIchrOのデビューアルバム「グラヴィティー」をリリースし、日本でもJazz Japan、CDジャーナルなどで絶賛を受け、2019年には東京、大阪、京都など６都市でツアーを行う。作曲の方も2016年より木管アンサンブル、ピアノトリオや弦楽四重奏などの作曲を始め、東京、静岡、ボストンにて発表する。ピアノの為の楽曲「Mysteriouse Bell」が2018年 Nosa ISAM 国際作曲コンクールで入賞、同曲は2021年、ピアニストTamara Licheli によりレコーディングされ、7月にCDがファスマ・ミュージックよりリリースされる。2019年ピアノとフルートのデュエット「Unexpectdly」がポーランド、グフィデン・クラシック・アワードの最終審査に残る。2020年ピアノトリオ「Multiple viwes from a window」がロンドンのThe Alvarez  chamber orchestra 作曲コンクールでプレミア・ラウンドに入る。ピアノを大石潤、フルートを石原利矩、ジャズピアノをドナルド・ブラウン、作曲をグレッグ・ホプキンス各氏 に師事。ポーランドのファスマミュージック作曲家クラブ所属。Naxos Record より作品が収録されたアルバムが3枚リリースされている。
